In order to provide the practical demonstrations of the ‘GENERATORS ELUTION’, Labelling strategies, Post processing of generators, the congress committee of SWC-2013 has planned 2 days Post-congress workshop at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS,DRDO, Delhi - India). This post-congress workshop aims for providing ‘Hands on Training’ to the PET radiopharmacists, physicists from India and abroad representing centres which are already doing or are planning to start the ‘state of the art’ Ga-68 PET imaging and PRRNT.
Purpose The intention of the training school is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on the Ge-68/Ga-68 radionuclide generator mainly, but also on subsequent Lu-177 labelling. The Ge-68/Ga-68 radionuclide generator is increasingly relevant for the development of new molecular imaging probes, both for fundamental research as well as for routine clinical diagnosis using PET/CT. The concept of the training school is to combine both theory and practice for several topics, such as generators, generator post-processing, ligands and labelling, automatisation, quality control, GMP and regulatory aspects. To bridge the PET-generators with endoradiotherapy, labelling will be trained with both Ga-68 and Lu-177. Lu-177 and Y-90 are longer-living therapeutic nuclides for analogue radiotherapeuticals labelled with trivalent therapeutic radiometals.Commercial companies involved in production of generators and syntheses modules, modules synthesising labelled compounds or in synthesising ligands will demonstrate state-of-the art products.
Participation is restricted to thirty persons only. Preferences shall be given to at-least one participant per institute and the enrolment of the candidates shall be on first come-first served basis. The duly ffilled sign and scanned registration form shall be sent as an email attachment to the congress official email (secondworldcongressga68prrnt@yahoo.com) and a copy to Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra (akmishra63@gmail.com). Foreign participants can contact the Overseas Co-ordinator: Prof. Dr. Frank Roesch, Mainz, Germany (frank.roesch@uni-mainz.de).
Registration The candidates registered for the Congress (SWC-2013) do not have to pay separate registration for the Post-Congress workshop.
Accommodation Accommodation for the participants of the workshop shall be supported by the local host only for the pre-registered candidates.
All the queries for enrolment in the Post-Congress Workshop by the interested delegates and by the participating companies should be directed to the National Co-ordinator Post-Congress Workshop. The contact details are as follows:
